Hélène
Production line operator
Hélène fancied a change of career so she studied for a Professional Qualification Certificate via a work-study arrangement to become a production line operator.
Job advert, temp work, permanent contract
For Hélène Leost, now a Laïta cheese production line operator at Ploudaniel (29), it all started with a job advert in the local newspaper. The recruitment process began at the employment bureau and ended, after an initial briefing with the company and a few tests, in the offer of a temporary position in order preparation and packing and finally a permanent position.
CQP qualification
Qualified to supervise two cutting lines for Emmenthal cheeses, Hélène monitors the whole cutting process from A to Z, including packaging the portions. She’s been doing the job for a while, since studying for a professional qualification certificate with the company on a work-study basis. Dairy products, mechanics, hygiene, safety, etc., she gradually reinforced and broadened the knowledge she’d already acquired on the job.
A change of direction and a work schedule that allowed me to spend more time with my children were the triggers for my new career. The team spirit, the atmosphere and the opportunity to develop and progress in a company that listens did the rest.

A new direction
Before working in the agri-food industry and joining Laïta, Hélène thought long and hard about her decision: "I wanted a change of direction, a new job. I also wanted a work schedule with hours that were more compatible with my family life so I could be there for my two children. Here, the team spirit, the atmosphere and the opportunity to develop and progress in a company that listens did the rest, it confirmed my decision to join the company and stay here!"
