Opening up overseas

Patricia’s career at Laïta started when she was recruited by the company after completing her studies at the École de Commerce. After two years as a sector leader in France she was seconded to Martinique to become manager of the first overseas office. "I was head of the Caribbean export zone at that time, covering the area between Guyana and Mexico," she recalls. Fifteen years later she returned to Metropolitan France to train the Dom Tom team, with four offices in Martinique, Guadeloupe, Réunion and New Caledonia.

Managing export sales

Patricia also organises the sourcing activities aimed at expanding ranges and supporting the organisation’s international development. Since 2021 she has managed a team of twenty as director of export sales. In this role she oversees sourcing, trading activities with Dom Tom territories and Africa, and organisation of the export assistants department based in Rungis. "I love organising different activities, managing teams, being involved in the enterprise and overseeing the remuneration of dairy producers. I completely identify with Laïta’s values, its human dimension, the simplicity of its relationships and the noblesse of its mission. Working to provide a living for farmers makes complete sense to me!"
